One of the best things about staying at Loon Bay Lodge is the sense of ‘togetherness’ often missing at other accommodations. The main lodge has a large living room area with an open fire, meals are taken around one large table, games can be enjoyed in the pool room and drinks shared on the deck. If you do need some privacy, bedrooms are housed in separate lodges close by.

Once you arrive, there’s really no need to leave! The St. Croix River and 200 acres provide plenty of potential for all manner of water based activities, an abundance of wildlife and quiet spots to read or take a nap. And if you do want to explore further afield, Saint Andrews or the Bay of Fundy make for a leisurely day out, before returning to the lodge for some spectacular stargazing.

Loon Bay Lodge is only 30 minutes from the nearest gas station and grocery store in St. Stephen, and only 45 minutes from the beautiful coastal town of Saint Andrews with its sightseeing on the Bay of Fundy, charming galleries and delightful restaurants, but far enough from civilization to mean that you can enjoy an abundance of wildlife in the undisturbed surroundings, including moose, the occasional bear and a huge variety of birds, and at night the absence of light pollution means the sky comes alive with stars.
