Fishing
Fish from the shore or on the water for Small-mouth bass, Landlocked-salmon or trout. We have an ample selection of rods and can arrange for your Outdoors Card too. Guides are available.

Hiking
Enjoy a gentle evening stroll in the grounds of the Lodge or, further afield, explore one of the many coastal and woodland trails within a short drive.

Bird Hunting
A license is required for game hunting for Woodcock & Grouse in season. You will also need to bring your own guns, however we have experienced guides to help you bag your prey.

Birding
Loon Bay Lodge is rich in birdlife, including Eagles and Ospreys fishing in the river, finches, warblers and chickadees creating a delightful chorus, and of course Loons, for which the bay is named.

Canoeing & Kayaking
Explore the St. Croix River on a guided day trip, or just play amongst the islands and waterways. We have lifejackets for all shapes and sizes, and can hire Canoes or Kayaks on your behalf.

Campfires & cookouts
Make the most of the light summer evenings with toasted marshmallows and Smores around a campfire, or for a real outdoor feast, we can also organise a cookout.

Tubing
A great fun and surprisingly relaxing activity for all the family. Enjoy the thrill of riding the Haycock Rips, or just let yourself be carried along by the gently flowing current of the St. Croix River.

Moose & Owl Calling
Imagine the thrill and adventure of a 1,500-pound moose charging his way through the woods in answer to your call. This activity is not for the faint of heart!
